Before running your first online assessment there are some simple steps that will need to be carried out to ensure students are able to log in to take their test.
Set up Single Sign On
We use Single Sign On (SSO) to authenticate students when logging into Smartgrade. Using SSO means that students don't have to remember another user name and password and adds additional security.
We support both Google and Microsoft SSO.
Please follow the relevant help article for your school or MAT:
Ensure student email addresses are recorded in your MIS
When a student logs in using SSO, we match their email address with the one in your MIS. This links them to their open tests and ensures their answers are correctly recorded for the right student.
Approve optional Wonde scope
For us to be able to match the students' email addresses you need to approve the optional scope of 'Students email read' within Wonde.
Once all of the steps above have been completed you should be good to go!
Partner online assessments: You're all set to assign classes to create markbooks. Teachers can then run the test.
Custom online assessments: If you haven't already, you'll need to build your assessment before assigning classes and then running the test.
