Welcome to Smartgrade!
Before your school or MAT can use Smartgrade, you must run through a few setup steps:
Mandatory Steps
- Map and activate subjects (Primary). This is where you activate the subjects you wish to be available in Smartgrade for the Primary Phase. The subject activation process creates school users for all teachers associated with primary registration groups. Note: This step may have been completed for you, but you can check if this is the case by following the instructions.
- Map and activate subjects (Secondary). This is where you link your MIS subjects to Smartgrade subjects, and choose which subjects will be active in Smartgrade for the Secondary Phase. Note: the subject activation process creates school users for all teachers associated with classes for subjects activated and mapped between your MIS and Smartgrade.
- Manage school users. This is where you invite school users to use the product.
Optional Steps
These are additional configuration steps that are only relevant to organisations who will be publishing assessments. Individual schools are unlikely to need to complete these tasks.
- Activate a publisher profile. The publisher profile controls how your assessments will be seen by users. Profiles can be activated at MAT, school or user level.
- Create MAT Users. This is how you control who has administrative access to use Smartgrade across the trust.
MAT leaders and administrators can also check out this CPD video, which runs through each of these processes.
Primary school administrators can check out this CPD video, which takes you through the process of logging in for the first time and assigning your classes.
If you have any questions on any of these steps, please contact us at help@smartgrade.co.uk and one of our support team will be happy to help.
